About

I’ve been providing exclusive packages, solid copy and high-quality photographs to the regional, national and international press for the past 15 years.

Alongside my work as a freelance photojournalist, for the past 12 years I have been the Editor and Publisher of Island Echo, a multi-award-winning 24-hour news website for the Isle of Wight.

In October 2019, Island Echo was named Micro Business of the Year at the IW Chamber Business Awards for Excellence. (https://www.holdthefrontpage.co.uk/2019/news/news-website-reveals-expansion-plan-after-award-victory/).

In 2020, Island Echo was Highly Commended for ICNN Community Website of the Year at the newsawards 2020. Just a year later Island Echo went on to win the ICNN Community Website of the Year at newsawards 2021, sponsored by Google News Initiative.

I have been a member of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) for over a decade and I’m an accredited UK Press Card holder. I also hold a Diploma with Honours in Media Law from the London School of Journalism. I’m also an insured and CAA-registered drone pilot.

In October 2024 I joined the Board of Directors of the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce for a three-year term.

I’m available for interviews on industry matters and specific news stories, with experience of live broadcasting to BBC Radio and Sky News.
