Arson attack on derelict building

An arson attack on a derelict building in Shanklin forced the evacuation of nearby residents. 6 pumps and an aerial appliance were called to the scene on Palmerston Road at just before 22:40 on 12th March after flames broke out. Jude Law unveils memorial plaque

02/03/2016 - Hollywood star Jude Law attends the unveiling of a plaque in memory of Oscar-winning film director Anthony Minghella at Ryde Beach, Isle of Wight

Despite adverse weather, Jude Law arrived at Ryde Esplanade with the Minghella family and local dignitaries to unveil a plaque in the memory of Anthony Minghella, the Oscar-winning director who sadly died in 2008. The event was low key with just 2 photographers invited – Darren being one of them.
